Operational context

The Marketing module sends campaigns to customers in the loyalty programme — discount coupons, off-peak offers, new-dish announcements. Each campaign has a segmented audience (regular customers, dormant since X days, customers from a given time slot), content localised in six languages, and redemption tracking (who used the coupon, on which day, sale value attached). Contacts come from loyalty (customer who accepted marketing at opt-in). GDPR compliance: every email has unsubscribe and opt-in is logged. Available in Restaurants & Bars Premium and above.

Does Chef7 send emails directly to customers?

No. Chef7 does not send emails — it generates a segmented WhatsApp contact list (regulars, dormant since X days, etc.) and pre-formatted messages in 6 languages. The owner sends from their phone, no per-message cost. Deliberate decision: WhatsApp has ~98% open rate vs ~20% for email in hospitality.

How does it comply with GDPR in campaigns?

Each loyalty customer has explicit marketing opt-in at registration. Every message has a stop-word for opt-out ("STOP" replies). Opted-out customers are automatically excluded from future audiences. Audit log records every send with date, segment, message and count.

Which segments can I create?

Regulars (≥3 visits in 30 days), dormant since X days (configurable: 30, 60, 90), birthday-of-the-month, customers from a time slot (lunch/dinner/weekend), customers from a geographic area (via phone dial code), and custom segments by tags (e.g. "vegan", "gluten-allergy"). AND/OR combinations between filters.
