Operational context

The NPS module implements the classic Net Promoter Score — at the end of service (via QR or link) the customer is asked, on a 0-10 scale, how likely they are to recommend the restaurant to a friend, plus an optional comment field. Responses aggregate into a dashboard with automatic NPS calculation, day/week/month segmentation, and open-comment tracking. Useful to spot operational issues before they become critical (a drop in NPS is a common antecedent to a drop in revenue). Available in Restaurants & Bars Premium and above.

Does Chef7 NPS follow the classic methodology?

Yes — 0-10 scale, segmentation Promoters (9-10) / Passives (7-8) / Detractors (0-6), NPS = %Promoters − %Detractors. The standard question is "How likely are you to recommend this restaurant to a friend?" plus an open comment field.

How is the survey distributed to the customer?

Three channels: automatic link via SMS/WhatsApp via the customer-notify integration, QR code on the printed bill, or personal link shared by the waiter. The link is per-customer and expires in 7 days to prevent duplicate responses.

Does NPS predict revenue drops?

Academic studies (Reichheld 2003, Bain & Company) show significant correlation between NPS drops and revenue drops 60-90 days later in hospitality. The Chef7 dashboard alerts when NPS drops more than 10 points week-on-week — early signal to investigate service, quality or wait time.
